Duties and responsibilities
Â
The technical assistants shall assist radio producers and presenters in the following duties;
- Ensuring that radio broadcasts are consistent, efficient, and entertaining;
- Providing creative and technical assistance during radio broadcasts;
- archiving previous recordings, editing sound, and ensuring recording equipment is in full working order;
- Conducting regular inspections and perform routine maintenance;
- Maintaining radio station logs and coordinating with other staff members to ensure that programming is broadcast at scheduled times;
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations;
- Maintaining inventory of spare parts and tools;
- Providing training to media interns;
- Performing software updates and upgrades on radio equipment;
- Monitoring system performance and recommending improvements; and
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Technical Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
Â
- A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in telecommunications, radio
broadcasting, radio production, media production, or media studies;
- A relevant first degree would be an added advantage; and
- Two years of experience working for radio is required.
Candidates who do not have the stipulated requirements need not apply.
