About me
I am a thirty eight year old self driven gentleman with a continuous twelve years of Accounting work experience from the University of Zimbabwe’s Bursar’s department where I have been employed since April 2010. I have held several Administrative positions in Salaries, Specific Funds and Planning Office of the University. I have over ten years experience in using Pastel (Sage) accounting software. I am a responsible individual who has been a signatory of the University and I have experience in representing the University in key engagements such as audits and budgeting meetings.

Administrative Assistant – Salaries
As the Administrator in the Payroll Section I am responsible administering the University’s Payroll Accounting function through:
• Timely payroll extraction and transmission
• Timely settlement of statutory payments
• Reconciliation of the overall UZ Payroll
• Preparing Payroll Summary reports after each payroll run.
• Reviewing all reconciliations such as Medical aid and payroll ledger accounts
• Posting Accounts Receivables and General Journal Batches in Sage Evolution
• Managing Staff Debtors
• Payment of Salary Creditors and all Payroll Deductions -

As a Senior Administrator, I was responsible for the financial management of a multi-million United Stated Dollar portfolio of over 70 donor funded projects managed by the University of through:
• Preparing financial accounts for a multi-million dollar portfolio of all donor funded project funds managed by the University of Zimbabwe.
• Preparing bespoke donor financial statements for projects funded by local and international partners such as UNDP, FAO, DFID, GEF, Save the Children and Oxfam.

• Examining and authorizing purchase orders guided by approved project budgets.
• Authorizing payment instructions for submission to the banks.
• Supervision of two Accounts Clerks and a Secretary in the Projects Office.
